Barney Milton Hendrix, Jr., 91 of Chattanooga passed away on February 20, 2021. Barney served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked for and retired from AT&T where he was a lineman and installer for various office phone systems. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Church. Some of Barney’s favorite hobbies were playing golf and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Hendrix, daughter, Mitzi Hendrix, father, Barney Hendrix, Sr., mother, Louise Ashby, and his brothers, Gene Hendrix, Phil, Don and Fred Ashby.
Left behind to cherish Barney’s memory are his daughters, Deborah (Dwight) Brown and Jill (Mark) Price, grandsons, Joshua and Christopher Brown, and his companion, Lollie Hisey.
A Celebration of Barney’s Life will be held graveside in the Chattanooga National Cemetery on Friday February 26, 2021 at 1:30 pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening February 25, 2021 from 5 to 7 pm. He will be laid to rest in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
