Myra Jeanette “Blondie” Armstrong, 60, of Chattanooga died Wednesday, January 22, 2014. She was born September 12, 1953 in Chattanooga a daughter of the late Oliver and Idella Harrison. She was preceded in death by a brother Jerry Harrison and step son John Michael Armstrong. She was a member of the Battlefield Baptist Church in Fort Oglethorpe.
Survivors include her husband Jim Armstrong; step-daughter Kim Armstrong; special niece Ashley Cooper; brother Billy (Teri) Harrison; sisters Jean Brandon, Linda Frizzel, Barbara McBee and Lynette (Blackie) Carter; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, January 25, 2014 in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Brother David Crane, Brother Steve Brandon and Brother Chris Paradise officiating .
Interment will follow in the Lakewood Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 4-8 Friday evening.
