

Bobbie Jewel Burkett Lovelace passed away on 06/27/2026. She was born to J.B. and Irene Burkett on July 21, 1935. Bobbie retired from Memorial Hospital medical records department. She was a record analyst and retired with 25 years of service and continued to work part-time several more years after retiring.
In earlier years, she was a member of the Clifton Hill Baptist Church and middle years a member of the former Kingwood Baptist Church of East Ridge, TN. In her later years, she supported the North Red Bank Baptist Church with her attendance, singing, tithes, and prayers.
Bobbie sang in the church choir and was also a soloist. She had a lovely voice and was invited to sing at many of the community churches along with the special singing she did at her own church.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Hubert (Hugh) Lovelace, two brothers, James A. and Thomas R. Burkett, two sisters, Billie Sue Alley and Norma Jean Hart and parents. She leaves to be remembered of many happy times by stepson, Ronnie Lovelace (Sue), step grandson, Christopher Lovelace, sister-n-law, Beverly Phiel-Burkett, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Bobbie was a lover of little animals and had many little pets during her lifetime. In lieu of flowers, it was her wish for donations to be made in her name to one of her local charities, The Chattanooga Humane Society.
Bobbie will be laid to rest at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South waiting for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ’s return. A private graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM Friday at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South with the Rev. Roger Redmond officiating.
