Brenda Joyce Atwood Cooper, 60, of Chattanooga passed away Saturday, August 7, 2010 at her home. She was of the Baptist Faith and had been employed with US Xpress for 15 years. She was a graduate of Kirkman High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Buell Atwood, Sr. and Cora Louella McNelly Atwood and a grandson, Logan Ridge.
Survivors include her daughters, Tess Miles (Jeff Johnston) of Harrison, TN and LeShawne Ridge (Jason) of Ooltewah, TN; three grandchildren, Luke Ridge, Taylor Miles and Megan Johnston; brother, Alfred Atwood of Chattanooga; two nieces, Michelle and Angela Atwood.
Memorial services will be held at 6 PM Wednesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Micah Nicolaus officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Tuesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House 200 Central Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37403.
