

Cathy Durrett was born on March 28, 1951, in Tachikawa, Japan. She passed away on March 28, 2026, at age 75. She was a beloved and cherished presence to those who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be remembered as a humorous, selfless, and devoted woman whose warmth and kindness left a lasting impression.
She loved spending time with family and friends. She was the most loving, friendly, and outgoing person you will ever meet. Cathy enjoyed crafting, wildlife, sports, hummingbirds and cardinals—interests that reflected her attentive spirit and her appreciation for beauty in everyday moments.
On March 17, 1984, she married Kenneth Dale Durrett. Together they built a connection grounded in love and commitment. She was a life-long homemaker, mother, and nana, dedicating herself wholeheartedly to the care and comfort of those she loved.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, John Stanley McKinney and Betty Charlene Shackelford. Survivors include her sons, Scott (Brittany) Durrett, Kraig (Lisa) Durrett, and Kris Durrett; daughters, Krecia (Patrick) Hicks and Patty Biggerstaff; grandsons, Parker, Jonathan, Connor, Elijah, Carson, Sebastian, Kadin, and Noah; granddaughters, Kala, Max, Keianna, Fara, Addison, and Emma; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 11am-1pm on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist-North Chapel, 5401 TN-153, Hixson, TN 37343, followed by a chapel service with Wayland Stewart officiating.
