Rest your oar shipmate; you were an unforgettable sailor and friend. So sorry for not taking more time and more stops by Jacksonville on my way to central FL to see my folks. We had some grand times in Vanderbilt, SubScol, WepsScol, etc.; I'll remember every one of them, fondly and always.

Many good memories of Charles at
Central; always ready to tell a story, a joke, etc. He was a very good friend; one I always looked forward to conversing with, spending time with. My prayers go out to his family and friends.

Charles was always full of good humor and I enjoyed being around him in my little group in high school. Of course, I have great admiration for anyone who spent that many years in the service of their county. He was a special person in my life and I am certain Heaven is a better place now with Charles there.

I was fortunate to live near Charles for the last several years. I can't tell you how many times we met at Bono's Bar-B-Que for lunch and then would sit for two or three hours laughing at ourselves and the world in general. We are all the poorer for his passing, but rich in the memories of our friend.
