Cheryl was a beautiful woman inside and out. A sense of loss will be felt by all who knew and loved her. I had the privilege of being a classmate of hers at Vestavia and participated in the music program with her through middle school and high school. I know she will be missed by everyone in her VHHS family, especially those of us who knew her through music. I pray for peace for her family.

I first met Cheryl at Brainerd Baptist when my husband and I began attending there nearly 16 years ago. We were in the same Sunday school class. At that time she had just began coming back to class after being out because of the cancer. When she walked in the door, all I could see is this tall, elegant lady walk past me and sit down. I didn't know anything about her situation. She never seemed to show that she was not feeling well. For the whole time that we attend Brainerd we went to many functions and meeting etc. Cheryl always had a smile and a kind word. The love of the Lord shined through whenever she was around.

Cheryl and I started as Mary Kay consultants together. Cheryl was a very intelligent person and loved to share her knowledge. She was also beautiful inside and out. Above all she was a Christian and loved the Lord and that is what I loved the most about Cheryl.

Cheryl will be greatly missed. I will keep her family in my prayers.

Cheryl and I sat together and became friends during the Master Gardener class in 2012. She often spoke of her family and she loved you all dearly. I saw her occasionally at gardening events after that and she was always such a sweet kind person. I know you will miss her and I'm so sorry for your loss.

I remember meeting Cheryl several years ago during the treatment of her first bout with cancer. I did not realize she was in a fight for her life. She was busy serving in a Women’s Ministry project with a smile & the sweet aroma of Jesus made her beautiful! I will always remember her grace and her brave warrior spirit. She loved her Lord and family with all her heart. Praying for her family.
Much Love, Darlene Ross

Cheryl and I met each other when I joined Brainerd Baptist Church and became a member of the church orchestra. She was such a wonderful person, always ready with a smile, a hug and was an excellent listener. My daughter and one of her daughters are similar in age and grew up together in the Brainerd church family. I know she will always remain a warm and welcomed memory for me as I remember her as my friend in music and in Christ.
