Christine Almanza Sampley, 79, of Chattanooga passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at her home. She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Christine was retired from the Veterans Administration as a Medical Assistant. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Sampley.
Survivors include her daughter, Jacquelyn Sampley; son, Tommy Sampley, III; brother, Johnny Almanza of Los Angeles, CA; two sisters, Margaret Lara of Henderson Nv and Frances Romero of Moreno Valley, CA; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2-5 PM Sunday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road, East Ridge, TN. A funeral mass will be held at 11 AM Monday, October 5, 2026 at St. Stephen Catholic Church 7111 Lee Highway, Chattanooga, TN with Father Manuel Perez officiating. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Military Honors.
