Chuck was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Katy, in 2021.
Those left to cherish his memory include his oldest son, Anthony “Tony” R. Lindsey and wife, Janet “Jan” Lindsey of Calhoun, GA; Middle son, Timothy “Tim” J. Lindsey of East Ridge, TN; Youngest son, Wendell Thomas “Tommy” Lindsey and wife, Kristin Lindsey, of Huntsville, AL; Grandchildren, Brittany D. Lindsey of Blue Ridge, GA, Taylor “Tate” Kiyo Lindsey of Lakeview, GA, and Thayer “Buddy” D. Lindsey of Huntsville, AL; Great grandchildren, Zoey Lindsey, Liam Lindsey and Matthew Lindsey.
Chuck was born in Fyffe, AL. He entered the US Air Force in 1956. He married Katy in 1958 at Yokota Airbase in Fussa, Japan. They moved to Chattanooga in 1960 and he began working at Cavalier Corporation where he retired in 1994. After retirement, he continued working at Averett Express, Bi-Lo, and State Beauty Supply. He joined Temple Baptist Church in 1970 where running the bus ministry became his passion. He enjoyed golf, bowling, Alabama Football and Atlanta Braves.
Chuck never had a bad thing to say about anybody and you always got the best version of him everyday. He loved God and lived his life showing it.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 16th from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Chattanooga Funeral Home East Chapel, 404 Moore Rd. The funeral service will be in the funeral home chapel at 11:30 am with interment at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
