Clifford Randolph Fry

A graduate of Baylor School in Chattanooga, Clifford was also a member of the Chattanooga Boys Choir. He earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Tennessee and was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity.

Clifford is survived by his three children: Jennifer Fry Rogers (Kent) of Valparaiso, IN, Christopher Fry (Rachel) of Nashville, TN, and Jessica Fry of Centerville, IN, as well as several beloved grandchildren.

Clifford was a lover of sci-fi, Diet Coke, and all things Reese’s—simple joys he enjoyed with the kind of devotion that made everyone around him smile, even if they were pretending not to.

True to his famously humorous spirit, Clifford never met a stranger. Even on his sickest days, he stayed lighthearted and couldn’t resist trying to make those around him laugh—sometimes with a perfectly timed eye roll, sometimes with a sarcastic remark, and often with that unmistakable look that said he’d already thought of something funny and was deciding whether you’d earned it. It’s a gift his children carry with them, and one that will keep showing up in the family in the moments it’s needed most.

The children of Clifford would like to give a special thanks to Ms. Youlanda for advocating for Clifford when his children couldn’t be present during his hospital stay.

Per Clifford’s wishes there will be no formal services or visitation.
