He was a vibrant soul who only saw the good in people. Darrell was a simple person, but enjoyed life to the fullest, he especially liked vibrant colors. He was an architecture enthusiast and loved visiting old castles, churches, buildings. His brothers even said he could be a “tour guide” for the Biltmore Estates. Darrell was a member of Bible Way Baptist Church in Rossville.
Darrell was predeceased by his parents, James Eugene Dillard and Leilla Casteel Dillard, and several aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his brothers, James (Connie) Dillard and Randall Dillard, nieces, Jennifer (Jordan) Morrison, Jessica (Josh) Lewis and their families, aunts, uncles, cousins, and his best friend, Philip Smith.
A Visitation and Celebration of Darrell’s Life will be held Thursday August 8, 2024 at Chattanooga Funeral Home East Chapel, 404 South Moore Road, East Ridge, TN 37412, with Dr. Vince Estill officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am-1:00 pm followed by a funeral service starting at 1:00 pm. He will be laid to rest alongside his parents in the Lakewood Memory Gardens South immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Darrell’s memory can be made to Bible Way Baptist Church, 2502 Lakeview Dr., Rossville, GA 30741.
