

David Ronald DeSha, age 77, known by his family and friends as Ronnie, passed away on March 4, 2024, at home with his family by his side. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and best friend.
A life long resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Ronnie was born on January 31, 1947 to Carl Wallace DeSha and Betty Sue DeSha.
Ronnie was married to Myra DeSha for nearly 49 years. The pair leaned on each other through all of life’s ups and downs. They were the perfect example of true soulmates.
He is survived by his wife Myra DeSha and his children: Frances, Missy, Jason, and David DeSha; his grandchildren: Nicole DeSha, Cameron Palmer, Trevor DeSha, Alexis Clingenpeel, Hannah Clingenpeel, Sailor DeSha, Griffin DeSha, Shafy Frirmansyah and Skylar Firmansyah; his sister: Linda Poteet (Larry Poteet); his brothers, Richard DeSha (Candi DeSha) and Tommy DeSha (Evelyn DeSha) and several nieces and nephews.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents Carl Wallace DeSha and Betty Sue DeSha, brother Eddie DeSha, and his daughter Lisa DeSha Palmer.
Ronnie was a graduate of City High School, Class of 1965, and retired from Combustion Engineering in 1995 after 30 years of service.
Visitation will be at Chattanooga Funeral Home East Chapel on Saturday, March 9 from 12 noon until 2 p.m. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Reverend Edward Snodgrass officiating.
