Lamarr was born in Chattanooga on August 14, 1941, to the late Joseph O. Sr., and Anna I. Manis. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Joseph O. Manis, Jr.
Lamarr served our country in the U.S. Air Force from March of 1962 until March of 1968. He was an imaging specialist for many years at Grandview Medical Center, now known as Parkridge West Medical Center.
Lamarr is survived by his wife, Cindy Manis; his daughters, Dava Lynn Manis, and Keri Michelle Peardon; nephew, Rev. Joseph Manis; his grandchildren, Christopher Michael Manis and Andrea Jade Manis; one great-granddaughter, Serenity Manis; and several extended family members.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at Chattanooga Funeral Home - East Chapel with Rev. Joseph Manis officiating. A burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery where military honors will be performed by the U.S. Air Force.
