David Richard Wurm, 83, of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away on May 8, 2020. David graduated from Valparaiso University where he met and married his life-long love, Judith Pfitzer Wurm who preceded him in death on Christmas Day, 2018. While during his life he had a varied career including work as a real-estate broker for Central Real Estate, a teacher of parent effectiveness training and in the Human Resources Department at Provident. They began Spirit of Joy and were active participants in the Transformation Project, helping incarcerated individuals reestablish productive, meaningful lives based on the love and forgiveness of Christ. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, William W. Wurm and Margaret Fall Wurm and a son-in-law, Gary Shealy. Wurm, Donald (Olivia) Wurner, sister-in-law, Barbara (Pfitzer) Stutz, brother-in-law, Thomas Pfitzer, and many nieces and nephews, and dear friends.
