Dianne Black Kelley went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 18th 2011. She loved the Lord and desired to live to bring honor and glory to His name. She was a member at Tyner UMC and current member of Christ UMC. She believed, as a Christian, reaching out to help others was essential. She was actively involved in church and her church family and loved them, as she felt loved by them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. and Hilma Black, grandson, Tyler Owen Kelley, grandparents, Effie and John Black and Gertrude and William Vermillion.
Her greatest accomplishments and joy were her children and grandchildren, whom she thanked God daily for giving them to her. She is survived by her children: John (Karen) Kelley, Stacey (Doug) Sanders and Michael Kelley. Her grandchildren Caitlin, Coty, Zach, Kyle, Jordan, Anna, Hope and Ali. Her daughter-in-law Barbara Kelley, her loving sister Karen (Richard) Hicks, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
She had several friends over the years that she remained close to throughout the years.
Arrangements are being handled by Chattanooga Funeral Home East with visitation from 2-4pm Saturday, and a celebration of life memorial service to be held at 4pm, with Rev. Mickey Rainwater, Kingsport, TN and Rev. Mark Flynn, Christ UMC officiating.
In lieu of flowers, her wish was that memorials be made to the Building Fund at Christ UMC, or to Hospice of Chattanooga.
We will always be grateful for the care and support shown from all her medical providers, especially Hospice. Thank you for all the prayers and visits from family members and friends. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
