Dianne Hyde Nave, 73, passed away on June 9, 2026. She was born February 9, 1953, in Dalton, GA., and leaves behind a life marked by steady devotion, tireless work, and the quiet strength of someone who showed love through what she did each day.
Dianne was a graduate of Ringgold High School and Jay Rogers School of Beauty, preparing her for a career that would place her at the heart of her community. For 25 years, she worked as a hairdresser in the Chattanooga area—bringing care, confidence, and a practiced hand to the people who sat in her chair, and offering the kind of presence that made others feel seen and looked after.
Dianne was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. “Butch” Nave Jr., and her sister, Dixie Clark. She is survived by her daughter, Holly (Eric) Kittle; twin grandchildren, Graham and Evie Claire, of Chattanooga, TN; her sister, Sue Lane Helton of Ringgold, GA; and her brother, Dale (Lisa) Hyde of Greenville, SC.
An animal lover at heart, Dianne also cared deeply about supporting the Georgia Sheriff’s Youth Home. Still, her greatest joy was time with her twin grandchildren—cooking them a meal, watching them play sports, or simply sitting and talking, giving them the full attention and warmth that made ordinary moments feel lasting.
The family will receive friends at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Sunday June 14, 2026, from 1-5 pm. A Celebration of Dianne's life will be held graveside in the Chattanooga National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a contribution to the Children’s Advocacy Center-LMJC at 106 West Forrest Rd. Ft. Oglethorpe, GA 30742 or McKamey Animal Center.
