D.L. Fitzsimmons

DL Fitzsimmons, 90, of Chattanooga, passed away on May 9, 2022, surrounded by family. DL was born on September 3, 1931, to the late Jewell D. and Johnnie Jewel (Green) Fitzsimmons. He was also preceded in death by his son, Terry Fitzsimmons. He worked for C.D. Genter/GenCo for 43 years, retiring as plant superintendent at age 62. DL is survived by his children, Jerry (Peggy) Fitzsimmons, Bobby Joe (Paula) Fitzsimmons, Paul Fitzsimmons, and Tracy Fitzsimmons; his 9 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Chattanooga Funeral Home - East Chapel with Rev. Dr. Tony L. Wilson officiating. A visitation will be held from 4-8 PM on Friday, May 13, 2022, at the funeral home and an additional visitation from 9-11 AM on Saturday, May 14 at the funeral home.
