Dorothy Hines

Dottie Hines,70, of Lookout Valley passed away Sunday, October 12, 2025. She was born in Jasper, TN and was a lifelong resident of Lookout Valley. Dottie was a beloved and devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and second mother to many of her children’s friends over the years. She had a tremendous smile and was known for her loving care of all her family. She loved hosting family get-togethers in her home, spending time with friends and being in the mountains. She was a loving wife to her husband Bobby of 51 wonderful years. She raised two sons, Graham and Sam, who were her truest delight. Her grandchildren Addie, Hudson and Hadley were the lights of her life and what her world revolved around. She made sure to be at all their events as she had been with her own children and could always be seen cheering them on. Dottie always emphasized how important family was and her family will always be reminded and comforted by her example of love.

Dottie is survived by husband Bobby Hines; sons Graham (Brandy) Hines and Sam (Nikki) Hines; grandchildren Addie, Hudson and Hadley Hines; and brother Bill (Terry) Jones along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with Dr. Bill McGee officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 – 8 PM Wednesday and from 10 – 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, West.
