Dorothy (Dot) Dixon Tidwell was reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Rodger, on July 12, 2010. Rodger was at The Lord’s side as Jesus welcomed Dot into “Sweet Beulah Land”. Dot, a resident of Charlotte, North Carolina, for the past six years, will be laid to rest in Chattanooga, where she was born on April 8, 1927.
Dot is survived by her children, Sharon Burrough, Joe Tidwell and his wife, Linda, Tom Tidwell and his wife Nancy and Jim Tidwell. Dot was blessed with five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Thursday, July 15, 2010; from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Services will be held on Friday, July 16, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
