Edna Ruth Jones

Mrs. Jones was born in Heneger, Alabama and raised in Rossville, Georgia where she graduated from Rossville High School. She was a member of Spring Creek Road Baptist Church where she was employed for over 30 years as the church secretary. Mrs. Jones was also a member of the Eastern Star and the Merry Makers Singing Group.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Feltman and her parents, James and Lillian Suddeth.

Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Harvey L. Jones; son, Gene (Ann) Jones; daughter, Kimberly (Chris) Perry; son-in-law, Wendell Feltman, Jr.; Grandchildren, Adam and Alyssa Feltman and Payten Perry; brothers, Donald (Linda) Suddeth, David (Opal) Suddeth and Doug (Teresa) Suddeth; and sister, Elizabeth (Benny) Benavente; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Monday at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at Spring Creek Road Baptist Church with Rev. James Julian officiating and additional visitation one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist. 404 South Moore Road.
