

He was retired from Ferguson Enterprises as a Warehouse Manager. He previously worked for Combustion Engineering and was the Central Stockroom Manager of the Miami Dade School System in Miami, FL. Ed served his country for four years with the U.S. Air Force and for one year was stationed at Korat Royal Thai Air Force Base during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge from the Air Force, he returned to college at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he earned his Master’s degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Hampton Moore, Sr. and Mary McKehan Moore.
He is survived by his sister, Sharon Newby; aunt, Martha Fields; niece, Devony Hitt and nephew, Bradley Walker; several great-nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Andrea Lewis and Max Holden.
Funeral services will be held at 12 PM Wednesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Newby and Max Holden officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 AM to 12 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
