Elaine K. McGee

Elaine (Robertson) McGee, 91,went home to be with the Lord March 19, 2026. She was a member of Brainerd Baptist Church, the Friendship Sunday School Class and a life-long resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by Charles D. McGee, her husband of 59 years, grandparents, J.H. and Mary Kelly, parents, Morton F. and Berta K. Robertson.

She is survived by her brother-in-law, Jack (Jamie Conners) McGee of Ringgold, GA cousins; Judy (Michael) Henegar of Murfreesboro, Vince (Pat) Vaughn and Wilma Dietzen of Chattanooga, Joe (Bonnie) Vaughn West Virginia and Kenny (Connie) Rains of Memphis, TN; nephews, Brian Mavity and Reggie McGee of Ringgold, Georgia; longtime family friend, Larry White..

Elaine was a graduate of Chattanooga High School Class of 1953 and attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She was a wonderful caregiver to all of her loved ones for many years.

Funeral services will be held at 12pm Thursday, March 26, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road, East Ridge TN with Dr. Steve Rowland and Dr. Bill Owens officiating. Burial will follow at the Forest Hills Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Mavity, Peyton Mavity, Rick Marler, Alvin Huffine, Stan Russell and Brian Vaughn. Honorary pallbearers are Tom Franklin, Larry White and the Friendship Sunday School Class.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm Wednesday March 25 and from 11 am – 12 pm Thursday March 26 at the funeral home.
