Ena Edgemon “Yaya” Shepherd, 93, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015. She was a member of Tyner United Methodist Church. Mrs. Shepherd was a graduate of McMinn County High School in Athens, TN and Baroness Erlanger School of Nursing as a registered nurse.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat Neff Shepherd; son, Pat Neff Shepherd, Jr.; twin sister, Edith Edgemon.
Survivors include her daughter, Jan Bishop and her husband, Wayne; two grandchildren, Lauren Howard and her husband, Nathan and Phillip Bishop and his wife, Rebekah; one great-grandson, Chase Bishop.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Hospice of Chattanooga, sitters with Amara Home Care and sitter, Amy Wright for her love and kindness over the past year.
