My Aunt Estelle (Aunt Stell) was “The Cool Aunt! The Aunt you were Excited to spend weekends with; tripping through the woods Exploring Nature through the eyes of Our Maker! Whether it was Lookout Mountain & “Glen Falls” Every State Park from here to Louisiana and Miss. Holding our breath through ‘The Longest road under water' (Did not take much to entertain us and proves that the Best Memories in life are Free!!!!) I made my First wish upon My First Shooting star! It did not matter as long as we were outside as a Family Unit!!” She was the aunt in which I shared my first crush with, talked on the phone for hours at a time with, was Thrilled to have my feet under her table for All the rich aromas which reminded us All of her Proud heritage, family history & her proud birth as first child born in New Orleans on Jan. 1st many years before! My Aunt Stell was the lastborn child of Loyal Gardener Adams Sr. and Margaret Lee Watson Adams in which my middle name was taken from. I always assumed it was after our Civil war General, Robert E.Lee until I was at her Memorial Service and her precious daughter Elaine informed me it was the my grandmother's stage or Singing name. None other than Dixie Lee!!! How Cool is that and how did I never know this?? Uncle Fred and Aunt Stell Ellis were the Adorable and Glamorous couple who even Ricky and Lucy Ricardo would have been Green-pea Envious of!! Fredrick Clifton Ellis and Edith Estelle Adams were the ‘coolest of cool' and also the very first family I knew to have an aluminum Christmas tree with a ‘Color wheel'. How unique and different was that? God Bless you both and Thank You both for many of the Happiest Memories of my childhood!!! Aunt Stell and Uncle Fred; I will never Forget the love and happiness that you both shared with me! Here's looking up at the two of you!!!! With Much Love and numerous Fond Memories!!!!
Your ever loving niece,

I love you, Mama. That is always what I said to you every time I saw you and every time I left you. I can't get used to the idea of this. I am so happy for you. I know you are dancing. I think and do things a hundred times a day that I learned from you. You made us who we are today. All three of us are like you in so many ways. You will always be with us.
