

Faye Lou Wilhoit Parker, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2011. She was born on August 1, 1934 to Harry T. and Loraine Wilhoit. She graduated from Central High School. She was among some of the first women in Chattanooga to become involved with the School Patrol Mothers.
For those of you that knew her or for those that may have only met her in the check out line, you were quick to realize she loved to talk and loved people. She never met a stranger. She will miss all her friends at Chateau Royale, her caregivers and she was especially fond of all her girls at Eidson’s Restaurant who took such good care of her for many years.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her son William T. Parker, Sr. She is survived by her son and his wife Robert F. (Bobby) and Lee Ann Parker, her daughter Leacia Newell, grandchildren Amy (Colin) Pyle, Alan (Amanda) Newell, Thomas (Jennifer) Parker, Ryan (Ashley) Parker, Andy Goodrich, great grandchildren, Emily, Jacob, Rylee, Kaleigh, and Lilli,her brother Harry T. (Tommy) Wilhoit, Jr. and his wife Mary, her sister Sarah and her husband Richard Stevison and her former daughter-in-law Rennie Parker Kilgore and her husband Calvin Kilgore. Many nieces nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:30 AM at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Active pallbearers will be Wayne Brogan, Jeff Stevison, Kenny Wilhoit, Calvin Kilgore, Thomas Parker, Ryan Parker, Andy Goodrich and Billy McGarvey.
