Fred Ellis

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Ellis; mother and stepfather, Lena and Mert Ashley; brother, John Henry Ellis; and sister, Evelyn LeVan.

Surviving are his wife, Sylvia Ellis; son, Gary (Marylyn) Ellis of Chattanooga; daughter, Sherrie Ellis Gravitt of East Ridge; granddaughter, Rachel (Nathan) Graham; grandsons, Cameron and Corey Gravitt; step grand-daughter, Rachel Quinn Ellis; brother, Thomas Ellis of Harrison; sister, Georgia Mae Bacchus of Chickamauga, GA; and best buddy, Boo Kitty.

Mr. Ellis was employed by Chattanooga Glass Company for 18 years. He was a member of East Ridge Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.

Graveside Services will be at 2 PM on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Lakewood Memory Gardens South with Dr. Ronnie Mitchell officiating.

Visitation will be from 10 AM to 2 PM and 4 to 8 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
