Freddie Bailey, 66, of East Ridge passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at her home. She was born in Knoxville, Tennessee and attended West High School. She was a member of Brainerd United Methodist Church and attended Jones Memorial United Methodist Church. Freddie recently retired as admittance counselor with CADAS after 10 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Edward and Ruby Gouge Hufstedler and a sister, Rachel Ann Moncier.
Survivors include two daughters, Melissa Spiers of Chattanooga and Carrie McDermitt of Jonesboro, TN; three grandchildren, Emily Spiers, Natalie Martin and Cooper McDermitt; one sister and brother-in-law, Sandra Lee and Dr. William Hovis of Knoxville; loving partner, Dr. Lewis Barber; nephews, Dr. W. David (Gina) Hovis, Dr. Christopher L. (Rachel) Hovis, Adam S. Moncier and Nicholas Moncier all of Knoxville; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Friday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with the Rev. Larry Dial officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens in Knoxville, TN.
