Mrs. Harwell was born in Tarrant City, Alabama. She was a member of Spring Creek Church of God and retired from Deaton Trucking as a secretary.
Survivors include her sister, Janeil Brinson of Crossville, TN; brother, Doyle Taylor of Birmingham, AL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John William Harwell; son, Keith Harwell;
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be at 11:30 AM on Monday, September 19, 2011 at the funeral home with Rev. Bennie Mills officiating and visitation one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist. 404 South Moore Road.
