Gid H. Ward

Gid Harley Ward, 86, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019. He was of the Baptist Faith. Gid was a member of IBEW #175 for 65 years and was retired from TVA. He was a loving husband and father. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Bertha Ward; three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Peggy Ward; daughter, Susan (Rick) McClain; son, Ricky (Colleen) Ward; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Tuesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with the Rev. Patrick Cooper officiating. Burial will be later in Corinth Church Cemetery in Loudon, TN. The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
