Glenda Howard, 84, of East Ridge passed away Saturday, January 15, 2010 in a local hospital. She had been an active member of East Ridge Baptist Church for 25 years until her health prevented her from doing so. Mrs. Howard was a member of the Chapel Sunday School Class. She retired from Franklin Process as an office supervisor and was an avid sports fan, following baseball closely.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell Howard.
Survivors include three sons, Gary (Elaine) Howard of Montgomery, AL, Monty (Stacey) Howard of Knoxville, TN and Mark (Cindy) Howard of Chattanooga five grandchildren, Christie Howard Sterl, Adam Howard, John Howard, Chad Howard and Chance Howard; two great-grandchildren; one brother William “Bud” (Jo) Taylor of Springville, AL; brother and sister-in-law, Edwin and Pat Howard of Chattanooga; one nephew; four nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Wednesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Dr. Ronnie Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Tuesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.
Memorial contributions may be made to East Ridge Baptist Church Building fund.
