Nancy & Tim:

Sorry to hear about the loss of your dear mother. My wife told me a story about your mother recently I would like to share with you.

My wife was picking up a few things from the Bread Basket in East Brainerd. It was raining and your mom was there for some reason. She saw a Boyd-Buchanan plate on our car and asked Jody about the school and our kids. Jody told your mom her name and she immediately knew she was married to me and talked about each of you.

As Jody was leaving your mom held the door and then Jody had to go back in since she had left her phone on the counter. Your mom again held the door and Jody said thank you again but she didn't have to keep doing that especially in the rain and asked if she could help her to her car? The ladies behind the counter said, this is what she does. She lives to serve!

That made an impression on Jody and she called me right then.

This world needs more people like your mom...People that live to serve.

Love you, Patty

So very sad to know Hazel is no longer with us. I remember fondly the times we worked together at Siskin Hospital. She had such a great spirit and wonderful sense of humor!
