Hazel Robertson

Hazel DeForest Murphy Robertson, 91, of East Ridge passed away Saturday, September 27, 2025. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Hazel had worked at J.C. Penney in boys clothing for over 25 years. She was a huge Atlanta Braves fan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Albert Robertson; a son, John Mark Robertson; parents, Deed and Hattie Murphy; four siblings, Daisy Wilbanks, Dorothy Grimes, Hoyt Murphy and Bonzie Miller; two grandchildren, Tim Robertson and Jeff Crawley; two daughters-in-law, Fran Robertson and Martha Robertson.

Survivors include three sons, James Ricky (Beth) Robertson, David (Vickie Jenkins) Robertson, Kenneth Scott (Deborah) Robertson; one daughter, Becky (Bob) McBride; one sister, Betty Pierce; one sister-in-law, Rachel Robertson; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 11 AM Wednesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Dr. John Gardner, Rev. Phil Renslow and Rev. Doug Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Tuesday and from 10 – 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.
