Iona was born in Chattanooga, TN to Walter and Laura Finnell. She was a graduate of Central High School and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Libby Conner; granddaughter, Lindsay Conner; one great-grandchild; brother, Michael (Sharon) Finnell; sister, Laura Beth McCollum; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at the funeral home with Rev. J. N. Howard and Dr. Dennis Newman officiating and visitation one hour prior to the service.
