Irma Ruth Hill, age 65, of Chattanooga died Friday, July 13, 2012. She was born December 5, 1946 in Athens, Tennessee to the late Millard and Mildred Skelton. She was a member of the East Brainerd Church of Christ. Mrs. Hill loved nature gardening and especially roses. She was a rosarian with the Chattanooga Rose Society, as well as a master gardener.
Survivors include her husband Don Hill; children Wesley Stuart Hill, Carrie (Rodney) Bethune and Jason F. (Denise) Hill; grandchildren Bradley Bethune, Garrison Bethune, Colton Bethune and Ansley Lynn Hill; sisters Martha Jackson of Sweetwater, TN and Estella Jo Tate of Hiram, GA; brother Warren Skelton of Athens, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 pm Wednesday July 18, 2012 at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Minister Frank Ford officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 11:30-1:30.
