Jackie Leon Prichard

Jackie Prichard, 79 of East Ridge passed away on November 3, 2018. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Brainerd Baptist and attended the Friendship Sunday school class. Jackie graduated from Central High School. He was co-owner and retired from Kingwood Hardware. Jackie was also a member of the East Ridge Masonic Lodge #755. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Prichard, Sr. and his wife, Julia, siblings, Frances Martin, Hershel Prichard, Walter Prichard, Jr., Lois Thomas and Dorothy Gann. Left behind to cherish Jackie’s memory are his wife of 58 years, Linda, children, Terri (Brian) Stubblefield, Panama City Beach, FL., Jeff (Darla) Prichard, Chattanooga, TN., and Lori (Jared) Cracraft, Birmingham, AL., grandchildren, Will and Reid Stubblefield, Ethan and Morgan Prichard, and Beau Cracraft, siblings, Barbara Weller, Doris Wilson, and Larry Prichard, several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. A Celebration of Jackie’s Life will be held in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Tuesday November 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Brian Stubblefield officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest in the Lakewood Memory Gardens South in Rossville, GA. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Jackie’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 6221 Shallowford Rd, Ste 102 Chattanooga, TN 37421. I'm so very sorry for your loss. I didn't know until Tuesday at noon, or I would have been there. I'm sure the time was a celebration of Jackie's life, a godly man. I knew him as quite and gentle, but also a tall and handsome man, and I'm sure you would agree Linda. I especially remember his kindness in always trying to keep the family together, by helping us find a place large enough to celebrate Christmas each year. I'm sure that he's in Heaven rejoicing with Freddy, Meme, Frances, Lois and all the others who have gone before him. Heaven is even sweeter now. I love you all.
