James Quinn, 72, of East Ridge passed away unexpectedly on February 7, 2019. James graduated from Kirkman High School. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was also a dedicated worker, when he worked for Collins and Aikman he went 22+ years without missing a single day of work. His favorite pastime was spent camping. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Franklin and Julia Hall Quinn, and a brother, Don Quinn. Left behind to cherish James’ memory are his wife, Shirley Quinn, children, Lori Ann Forbes (Greg Brumley), Gail Caylor, and Lamar (Sharon) Gann, 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, sister, Eva Mae (Paul) Lane, brothers, Roger (Debbie) Quinn, and Michael Quinn, and lastly his beloved dog, Molly Jane Quinn. A Celebration of James’ Life will be held in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Monday February 11, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday. He will be laid to rest in the Anderson Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the care of Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist East Chapel, 404 South Moore Rd. East Ridge, TN 37412. So sorry to hear of James’ passing. He was a pleasure to know, a kind soul, a wonderful neighbor, he loved him some bluegrass. He’ll be missed greatly. Prayers for Shirley and the family.
