She was born in Chicago, Illinois to Clarence and Helen Bitters. She was retired from Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga as a Unit Clerk. Jane was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and volunteered at the Domestic Abuse Hotline and NAMIE.
Surviving are her daughters, Jurona (Larry) Mobley, Veronica (Ronnie) Head and Geralyn Taliferro; son, Anthony Ensor; grandchildren, Steven (Veronica) Mobley, Deirdre (Gregg) Phillips, Siobhan (Dominic Braun) Mobley, Christy (David) Havlish, Brian and Derek Taliferro, Gehrig and Gracie Ensor; 11 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Clarence Bitters, Jr; and sister, Delores Boyd.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be at 11 AM on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at OLPH Catholic Church with Father Jim Vick officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson.
Memorial donations may be made to Catholic Social Services.
Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 404 South Moore Road.
