She was born June 23, 1964 to Mary K. and Robert P. Shepard and was a lifetime resident of Chattanooga. Jane attended local schools and was a cherished friend to many. She was employed at Jackson's Bakery and then at Chattanooga Shooting Supplies for 21 years as a salesperson. She was married previously and was single in recent years.
Jane will be remembered as a kind and generous person with a happy laugh. She was an animal lover and rescuer of strays, and enjoyed riding her horse as a teenager. She was an accomplished cook and vegetable gardener, loved Christmas-time and was an excellent gift-giver.
Survivors include her son, John Robert Dill; father Robert, brother Rob Shepard III, and sister Eleanor Shepard.
Memorial service will be held Sat. Oct. 29 at 2:00, at Pilgrim Congregational Church with Rev. Dr. David C. Brown officiating.
