Jeffrey VanBuskirk, 76, of Chattanooga passed away Saturday, September 5, 2026 at his home. He was a member of Brainerd Baptist Church. Jeffrey attended Bob Jones University and graduated from Tennessee Temple University. He worked with McKee Baking for 10 years and the balance of his career was with Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance Company. He was a veteran of the U S Air Force serving as a Staff Sergeant.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Doris VanBuskirk and a sister, Sue Hood.
Survivors include his wife, Gertraude VanBuskirk; son, Steven VanBuskirk; daughter, Joy VanBuskirk; two grandchildren, Luke VanBuskirk and Logan VanBuskirk; brother, Jerry VanBuskirk; sister, Sandy LaFaut; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Thursday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Thursday in the Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ethan Speicher officiating.
Burial will be at a later date at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
