Jo Ann Garner Manning, 94, of Chattanooga passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2025. She was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church and the Chattanooga Raquet Club. She was an excellent seamstress and avid Tennessee football fan. She and her late husband, P.D. Manning loved to travel. Jo Ann was a graduate of Chattanooga City High School class of 1950 and played violin in the high school orchestra. She retired from Mueller Company as production secretary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, P.D. Manning; her parents, Raymond T. and Mable Ruth Worley Garner; her sister, Frances G. Lytle; great-granddaughter, Georgia Grace Cooper.
Survivors include her son, Bruce E. (Stephanie) Cooper; grandchildren, Faith (Kevin) Hawthorne, Holly (Raleigh) Wallace, Brandon Henegar and Clay (Tiara) Cooper; seven great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Graveside services will be held at 1 PM Monday at Chattanooga National Cemetery with the Rev. Grady Dishroon officiating. There will be no visitation.
