Johnnie Ruth Guffey

She was a native of Tracy City, Tennessee. She was daughter of the late Johnny and Bessie Lea McCreary Rose. She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Guffey and son, J. Neal Guffey.

Mrs. Guffey was a member of Christway Church and was a former member of Central Baptist Church in Woodmore. Over the years she enjoyed visiting the sick and homebound of the church. She enjoyed traveling and had visited the Holy Land on four different trips.

Survivors include daughter, Bonnie G. and husband, Jim Miller of Hixson, Tennessee; three grandchildren, William James and wife, Candace Miller, Sarah Elizabeth and husband, Adam Hipp, and Andrew Miller; great granddaughter, Halah Hipp; sister, Margaret Elizabeth Johnson of Tracy City, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 6, 2015 at 3:00 pm in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Schoap officiating. Entombment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-3 Monday.
