Mr. Pruitt was born and raised in Chattanooga. He was a graduate of Kirkman Technical High School and was a member of Chattanooga First Church of the Nazarene. He was a former employee of Colonial Bakery in the Maintenance Department and was a U. S. Marine Veteran serving in the Vietnam War.
Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Brenda J. Pruitt; daughters, Angela (Fred) Jones and Tiffany (Calvin) Montgomery; grandchildren, Brendan, Brycen and Brooklyn Jones, Alexis and Madison Bowman; sister, Donna Newman; sister-in-law, Donna (Johnny) Ferguson; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 AM on Monday, December 7, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastor Eric Johnson and Rev. John Andrus officiating.

Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
