

Juanita Holley Cook went to be with the Lord on September 10, 2025. Juanita was born in Chattanooga on December 9, 1927. She graduated from Central High School (1945) and then Tennessee Wesleyan College with an Associate Degree in Religion and English. She enjoyed singing in the choir where she met her husband of 75 years, Tom Cook. She created a daycare center at East Lake Methodist Church. Juanita was an active member of the United Methodist Women.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Verda Holley. She is survived by her spouse J. Thomas Cook, Sr., brother Wayne Holley (Pauline), daughter Holley Lopater (David), daughter Nancy Stelzer, son James Thomas Cook, Jr. (Jan), grandchildren Joshua Lopater, Zachary Lopater (Evelyn), Christopher Stelzer (Heidi), Brian Cook (Cecilia), Shannon Cook (Aubrey), and great grandchildren Beckett, Emmett, Sadie and Watson.
Memorial Services will be held at Christ United Methodist Church on Sunday September 28 at 3:00 p.m., with visitation prior starting at 2:00 p.m.
