Katie Sue Dalton

She was born in Collinsville, Alabama to Willie B. Meadows and Margaret Oliver Meadows. She was raised in Fort Payne, Alabama and spent most of her adult life in Chattanooga. She was of the Baptist faith and was a caregiver in the healthcare profession.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Vera Meadows; and sister, Camille.

She is survived by her husband, William Alfred Johnson, III; sisters, Lina (Wendell) Benefield and Ethel Thurman; brothers, Howard (Thelma) Meadows, Herbert (Juanita) Meadows, Talmadge “Tuck” (Valerie) Meadows, Wayne (Wilma) Meadows, Treamon (Anita) Meadows and Johnny (Sheila) Meadows; son, Robert “Bobby” (Audry) Dalton; daughters, Deborah (Charles) Knight and Tracie (David) Cunningham; grandchildren, Cathy (David) Dixon, Michelle (Kevin) Herndon, Christy (Hubert) Alloway, Ashley and Bobby Dalton, and Tyler and Eric Cunningham; great-grandchildren, Hannah and Alton Alloway, Ethan Herndon, Hunter Dalton and Samantha Dixon.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday and 11 AM to 1 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be at 1 PM on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at the funeral home with Rev. Joshua Fite officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens West.
