Mr. Stevens was born and raised in DeKalb County, Alabama to Lumnie B. and Maude Stevens. He was a US Army Veteran and a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 95. He was retired from Nabisco as a sales representative after his retirement he owned and operated S & S Tours Inc for 28 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Mack B. Stevens.
Surviving are his son Roger Stevens and his wife Kim; daughter, Leslie Stevens; grandsons Roger and Gabe Stevens; great grandson Braylon Ryder; sisters Virginia Jo O’Neal and Wanda Sue Stevens; nephew, Jeremy Lawson; and nieces, Jennifer (Steve) Tarvin, Cynthia Lance, and Briggitt (Daymon) Garrett.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Sunday and from 12-1 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be at 1 PM on Monday, December 12, 2011 at the funeral home.
Graveside Services will follow at 2:30 PM CST on Monday at Beulah Cemetery in Fyffe, Alabama.
