Miss Laura Burnham age 95 the Belle of Atlanta earned her wings today, November 12, 2014. She was the widow of George R. Burnham city editor for the Chattanooga News Free Press and part of the Billy Graham Team until his death in 1962. Her brother Larry Tibbles preceded her in death. She is survived by the 4 children she loved and nurtured. Lynne, Bucky (Kaye), John Burnham and Reb Cabeen (Jaye). She found great joy in her grandchildren, Bruce and Rocky (Kim) Greene, Bridget Gentry, Ben Bradley (Korian) and DJ Cabeen. She has 6 great grand-children, Austin, Katelynne, Garrett, Sam, Kayla and Landon. Celebration of Life will be held at 1 PM Monday at Chattanooga Funeral Home East Chapel, 404 South Moore Road with the Rev. Jonathan Schwartz officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 AM to 1 PM Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the PACE program of Alexian Brothers or Brainerd Presbyterian Church.
