L.C. Roberts, 85, of Chattanooga died May 2, 2014. He was born May 3, 1928 in Chattanooga a son of the late Charles L. Roberts, Sr. and Lucinda Teague Roberts. He was preceded in death by sister Mildred Stubblefield and brother Charles Roberts, Jr.
He was retired, after 20 years, from the US Army as a Master Sergeant. He served during the Korean Conflict and Viet Nam. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star, as well as many other commendations. After he retired from the Army he went to work for Control Data where he retired after 20 years of service
Survivors include nieces Carol Myers of Harrison, and Billie Faye Green of Plant City, FL; nephews Charlie Roberts of Ooltewah, Bill Stubblefield of Dalton and Rick Stubblefield of Cleveland.
Graveside services will be held 11:30 am Wednesday at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with the Reverend Jim Vick officiating.
There will be no public visitation.
