Mrs. Wilhoite was born in Chattanooga, TN to the late Walter and Katy Kelley. She was a graduate of East Ridge High School Class of 1965, Tennessee Tech Class of 1969, and received hers Masters in Early Childhood Education from UTC. She taught at North Lafayette Elementary School for 29 years. She will always be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and teacher.
Mrs. Wilhoite is survived by her husband of 41 years, David J. Wilhoite; children, Kelley (Shannon) Mitchell, Kathryn Sosebee, David (Melinda) Wilhoite, Jr., Meg (Jason) Parker; grandchildren, Mary Beth, Jonathan, Izaak, Nathaniel, and Savannah; sister, Nina Goss; and nephews, Jimmy (Katie) Goss and their son, Will, and Alex Goss.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM on Thursday, September 23rd at the funeral home.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6 PM on Friday, September 24, 2010 at the funeral home with Dr. Danny Lovett and Dr. Jim O’Neal officiating.
Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 404 S. Moore Road.
