Mrs. Carter was a graduate of Central High School, former member of Highland Park Baptist Church and retired from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, N. G. Carter, Sr.; parents, W. R. and Anna Cecilia Baker; and her sister, Zelda Henn.
Surviving are her son, Bill Carter; daughter, Zelda Sapp; son, Noel (Kelly) Carter; grandchildren, Crystal (Jonathan) Bell, Justin Carter, Kristy (Shane) Fann; great grandchildren, Nathan, Aaron and Ryan Bell; and cousin, Catherine Champion.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM on Monday, February 3, 2014 at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will follow at 11 AM on Monday at the funeral home with Mr. Justin B. Carter officiating.
Burial will be at Forest Hills Cemetery.
