Lou G. Owens, 91, of Chattanooga went home to be with the Lord, Friday, October 16, 2015 at her home. She was born September 30, 1924 in Harlan, Kentucky to the late Charles and Sally Thompson. Mrs. Owens was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Winston Owens. She was a former member of the Hughes Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Corky (Judy) Owens, Jack Owens, and Mark Owens; grandchildren, Ashlee Owens, Aaron Owens, Jeff (Cheryl) Owens, Rick (Brenda) Owens; two great grandchildren, Chad Owens and Justin Owens two great great grandchildren, Brailey Owens and Chesney Owens .
Funeral services will be held 11:30 am, Tuesday, October 20, 2015 in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Reverend Royce Powell officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6-9.
